BOLD ( Borneo Opinion Leaders Dare ):

PILIHAN BARU SABAH ??
One Nation Party ? Parti Satu Negara ? Or could it be Parti Cinta Sabah? or Love Sabah Party now? any taker ? hehe - Jeneral Ken & Arjuna Tapa Negara

Dr Jeffrey Kitingan's ULTIMATUM to Anwar Ibrahim REVEALED...

There are four proposals which contain numerous points of highest relevance to Sabah, its future, and hence Malaysia's future:-

1. Understand that the problem in PKR Sabah is not about the appointment of Thamrin Jaini as PPN (Pengerusi Perhubungan Negeri) but much more. It has to do with how the Party is being run by remote control from KL through proxy leadership and how decisions are made without practicing the Party philosophy of Justice and Democracy.

The Party in Sabah has been run much like UMNO is running Sabah UMNO except worse - at least UMNO trusts the Sabahans.

DSAI's (Anwar) attitude towards Sabah is the same as his old UMNO attitude. Race and religion still cloud his mind and perception. This has to change!

2. To improve Sabah PKR and permanently solve the Sabah PKR problems, the following must take place:-
(a) Let there be autonomous PKR Sabah and PKR Sarawak.
(b) The leadesrship of PKR Sabah should be elected by the members/delegates in Sabah.
(c) The management and operations of PKR Sabah should be left to the elected leadership guided by the same national PKR facts and philosophies but focussing on local issues, etc...
(d) There should be a consistent chain of command and leadership relationships between national leaders and state leaders for coordination and operating purposes (it is shown in a chart Dr J gave to Anwar but not made available in this blogsite for space constraints).
(e) The current situation should be reorganised to maintain stability before further changes are made.

3. The National leadership should take the necessary steps and commitment to effect the above.

4. The TAMBUNAN DECLARATION must be adopted publicly by the Party.

5. A National IGC Review Committee should be established to examine and monitor the compliance of the Malaysia Agreement and the 20 Points.

OF FIXED DEPOSIT AND COLONIAL SLAVE...

By Mozes M. Iking
Prime Minister Najib Razak's reference to Sabah as "fix deposit" for the ruling BN is an insult. BUT he means it!

Fix deposit means we are colonial slave. Slave who can't shackle our bondage...

His superficial "1Malaysia" is a direct antithesis of a "fix deposit Sabah".

We get sweets, we deliver votes, and Kuala Lumpur takes the "interest" of forming the Government.

In the end, the rakyat "dikemudiankan" and we get KUAMP and other threats inducements and promises.. The cycle goes on...

Readers out there, what do you think...?

Economics 123 - How the US economy works !

By Clark Kent
In a small town in the United States, the place looks almost totally deserted. It is tough times, everybody is in debt, and everybody lives on credit.

Suddenly, a rich tourist comes to town. He enters the town's only hotel, lays a 100 Dollar Bill on the reception counter as a deposit, and goes to inspect the rooms upstairs in order to pick one.

The hotel proprietor takes the 100 Dollar Bill and runs to pay his debt to the butcher. The Butcher takes the 100 Dollar Bill, and runs to pay his debt to the pig farmer.

The pig farmer runs to pay his debt to the supplier of his feed and fuel.

The supplier of feed and fuel takes the 100 Dollar Bill and runs to pay his debt to the town's prostitute that in these hard times, gave her "services" on credit.

The prostitute runs to the hotel, and pays off her debt with the 100 Dollar Bill to the hotel proprietor to pay for the rooms that she rented when she brought her clients there.

The hotel proprietor then lays the 100 Dollar Bill back on the counter so that the rich tourist will not suspect anything.

At that moment, the tourist comes down after inspecting the rooms, and takes back his 100 Dollar Bill, saying that he did not like any of the rooms, and leaves town.

No one earned anything... However, the whole town is now without debt, and looks to the future with a lot of optimism.

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how the United States Government is doing business today.

Somehow this system seems to work though it does not make sense... but someone has to loan the $100 first...and everyone has to agree to take it in good faith and give it out again... at the right timing too..

So, can someone lend me a $100 to try it out ?

LEE KUAN YEW, at 85, The Fire Still Burns...

By Ahmad Mustapha (July 29, 2009)

A nephew of Dr Mahathir Mohamad

SINGAPORE's Minister Mentor, Lee Kuan Yew, who was Singapore 's founding
father, has always been very direct in his comments. This was the man
who outsmarted the communists in Singapore (with the innocent help of
Malaya then and the willing help of the British) and who later outwitted
the British and outpaced Malaysia in all spheres.

Singapore practices corrupt-free meritocracy and Malaysia affirmative
action. The former attracted all the best brains and the latter chased
out all the brains. The Singapore cabinet consists of dedicated and
intelligent technocrats whereas Malaysia has one of the most unwieldy
cabinets. Not only that, brain wise it was below par not even good for
the kampong.

With that kind of composition, one that is very brainy, naturally
Singapore , with no natural resources could outstrip Malaysia in every
aspect of development. Malaysia , on the other hand, was too much
preoccupied with its Malayness and the illusory 'Ketuanan Melayu' and
was also more interested in useless mega iconic development rather than
real social and economic development.

Whenever Kuan Yew utters anything that deemed to be a slight on Malaysia
, voices were raised admonishing him. Malaysia would never dare to face
reality. That Singapore had shown that it could survive was a slap on
those who believed that Singapore would fold up once it left Malaysia .
Therefore it was natural that these doomsayers would try to rationalise
their utterances to be in their favour to combat on whatever Kuan Yew
commented. Its political jealousy.

Singapore achieved its development status without any fanfare. But here
in Malaysia , a development that was deceptive was proclaimed as having
achieved development status. It was trumpeted as an achievement that
befits first world status. This was self delusion. Malaysians are led to
believe into a make believe world, a dream world. The leaders who
themselves tend to believe in their own fabricated world did not realise
the people were not taken in by this kind of illusion.

Lee Kuan Yew believed in calling a spade a spade. I was there in
Singapore when the People's Action Party won the elections in 1959. He
was forthright in his briefing to party members as to what was expected
of them and what Singapore would face in the future. Ideologically, I
did not agree with him. We in the University of Malaya Socialist Club
had a different interpretation of socialist reconstruction. But he was a
pragmatist and wanted to bring development and welfare to the
Singaporeans. Well! He succeeded.

Malaysia was so much embroiled in racial politics and due to the fear of
losing political power, all actions taken by the main party in power was
never targeted towards bringing wealth to all. Wealth was distributed to
the chosen few only. They were the cronies and the backers of the party
leadership to perpetuate their own selfish ends.

Seeing the efficiency and the progress achieved by Singapore caused the
Malaysian leadership to suffer from an inferiority complex. That
Malaysia should suffer from this complex was of its own making.

In a recent interview, Kuan Yew said that Malaysia could have done
better if only it treated its minority Chinese and Indian population
fairly. Instead they were completely marginalised and many of the best
brains left the country in drove. He added that Singapore was a standing
indictment to what Malaysia could have done differently. He just hit the
nail right there on the head.

Malaysia recently celebrated its 50th year of independence with a bagful
of uncertainties. The racial divide has become more acute. The number of
Malay graduates unemployed is on the increase. And this aspect can be
very explosive. But sad to see that no positive actions have been taken
to address these social ills.

Various excuses were given by Malaysian leaders why Singapore had far
outstripped Malaysia in all aspects of social and economic advancement.
Singapore was small, they rationalised and therefore easy to manage.
Singapore was not a state but merely an island.

There was one other aspect that Malaysia practises and that is to
politicise all aspects of life. All government organs and machinery were
'UMNO-ised'. This was to ensure that the party will remain in power.
Thus there was this misconception by the instruments of government as to
what national interest is and what UMNO vested interest is.

UMNO vested interest only benefited a few and not the whole nation.. But
due to the UMNO-isation of the various instruments of government, the
country under the present administration had equated UMNO vested
interest as being that of national interest. Thus development became an
avenue of making money and not for the benefit of the people. The fight
against corruption took a back seat. Transparency was put on hold. And
the instruments of government took it to be of national interest to
cater to the vested interest of UMNO. Enforcement of various enactments
and laws was selective. Thus a 'palace' in Kelang, APs cronies and
close-one-eye umno MPs could exist without proper procedure. Corruption
infested all govt departments, the worse is the police and lately even
in the judiciary.

Singapore did not politicise its instruments of government. If ever
politicisation took place, it is guided by national interest. To be
efficient and to be the best in the region was of paramount importance.
Thus all the elements like corruption, lackadaisical attitude towards
work and other black elements, which would retard such an aim, were
eliminated. Singapore naturally had placed the right priority in it's
pursuit to achieve what is best for its people. This is the major
difference between these two independent countries.

Malaysia in its various attempts to cover up its failures embarked on
several diversions. It wanted its citizens to be proud that the country
had the tallest twin-tower in the world, although the structure was
designed and built by foreigners. Its now a white-elephant wasting away.
It achieved in sending a man into space at an exorbitant price. For what
purpose? These are what the Malays of old would say "menang sorak"
(hollow victories).

It should be realised that administering a country can be likened to
managing a corporate entity. If the management is efficient and
dedicated and know what they are doing, the company will prosper. The
reverse will be if the management is poor and bad. The company will go
bust.

There are five countries around this region. There is Malaysia , and
then Indonesia . To the east there is the Philippines and then there is
that small enclave called the Sultanate of Brunei . All these four
countries have abundance of natural resources but none can lay claim to
have used all these resources to benefit the people. Poverty was rampant
and independence had not brought in any significant benefits to the
people.

But tiny Singapore without any resources at all managed to bring
development to its citizens. It had one of the best public MRT transport
systems and airlines in the world and it is a very clean city state.
Their universities, health care, ports are among the best in the world.

It is impossible to compare what Singapore has achieved to what all
these four countries had so far achieved. It was actually poor
management and corruption, and nothing more. Everything is done for the
vested interest of the few.

Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines and the Sultanate of Brunei need
good management teams. They would not be able to do this on their own
steam. I would advise that they call on Kuan Yew to show them what good
governance is. Why look East to Japan when it is just next door across
the causeway.

SHOULD CHIN PENG BE ALLOWED HOME ?

By Mozes Iking (June 22, 2009)
CHIN Peng is a citizen of this country. History tells us that Parti Komunis Malaya (PKM) helped consolidate Malaya's independence. PKM also helped boot the Japanese... Chin Peng himself fought for Malaya when the Japanese invaded the country.

Later Chin Peng fought for Malaya's independence from colonial Britain (who by the way offered him the OBE - Order of the British Empire)

China, who PM Tun Razak Hussein embraced diplomatically in early 1970's (and kowtowed by Najib Razak the current PM, his wife Rosmah Mansor and his mother Tun Rahah), supplied the arms, money and voice to PKM.

Why only Chin Peng is banned to come home? What happened and what about Chairman Rashid Mydin and cronies who were equally as guilty?

We don't condone what Chin Peng did neither do we condone China's crime. So why the double standard?

The 82-year old Chin Peng should be allowed to see his relatives and die here. He should be put on Restricted Residence though (for his own good). He should be allowed to have a clean break from the past.

By the way, Chin Peng is earning heaps for his thoughts in circuit lectures...

ANWAR
YES TO AZMIN ALI, NO TO DR JEFFREY & ANSARI AS SABAH PKR LIAISON CHIEF...

By Charles Antonius Gambir @ Charge (June 20, 2009)
PARTI Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) decision to appoint Azmin Ali, a West Malaysian, to head its Sabah state liaison committee, over local leaders, Harvard scholar Dr Jeffrey Kitingan and lawyer Haji Ansari Abdullah, has raised eyebrows among Sabahans.

Some see it as a logical step to take, so that Anwar would not be seen as favouring either Dr Jeffrey or Ansari, both likely to offer themselves as candidate for the state post next year. PKR members pinned their hope Azmin will play non-partisan politics as far as Sabah PKR internal election is concerned. But will he be?

Another group sees Anwar's decision as yet another testimony of Anwar's and for this matter PKR's, condescending attitude over Sabah and Sarawak, the attitude of UMNO, Sabahans so despise.

Azmin is known to be close to Ansari, who is close to Anwar. There is this perception within PKR that Azmin would always give advantage to Ansari over Dr Jeffrey, reasons best known to all of the four players.

Azmin being Sabah PKR boss in actuality is obviously already an advantage to Ansari, and a disadvantage to Dr Jeffrey, though most thought the latter is a better person to lead Sabah PKR.

Democracy, nevertheless, seems to be very much at work in PKR now. Its newly-passed sweeping reforms in electing Party leaders, gave its every single member the right to vote directly their top leaders, a first for political party in Malaysia.

Divisional delegates in Sabah would exercise this right next year to vote in their own top leaders in the State. Dr Jeffrey and Ansari, the leading aspirants, now have works to do...

OF TUN MAHATHIR, TUN PAK LAH AND NAJIB

By Mozes Iking (April 6, 2009)
Ha! Tun Mahathir Mohamad is now being "punished" by Najib Razak at the behest of Tun Pak Lah for leaving UMNO and causing bad loss to BN in Permatang Pauh and Kuala Trengganu...

By involving him to campaign in the by-elections for Bukit Gantang and Bukit Selambau, Tun Mahathir thinks Najib is being grateful to him for speeding the latter's promotion as the new PM, forcing Tun Pak Lah's earlier political demise.

Little does Tun Mahathir know that Najib is using and also testing Tun's leftover influence, if any...

If PKR gets back Bukit Selambau, all Tun Mahathir's men - Muhyiddin Yassin, Mukriz Mahathir et al - will be "zombies". It will then be easier for Najib to deal with Khairy Jamaludin and others...?

SABAH NEEDS A NEW MULTI-RACIAL POLITICAL PARTY..

By G. Kanul &
G. Charles
We need a new political party, with a good blend of leaders.. a dream team party... Will you share our dream?

This new Party should be a party that fight for autonomous government in Sabah, just as our founding fathers had dreamed in 1963 and before.

Leaders of this Party must be those who subscribe fully to Sabah Agenda, that is having a freer, robust, progressive, confident, independent and sovereign state of Sabah. Leaders who are merely conformer to the central government in Kuala Lumpur should never be allowed to become members of this Party, what more to lead it.

Leaders such as Dr Jeffrey Kitingan, Bernard Dompok, Madius Tangau, Dr Chong Eng Leong, Kong Hong Ming, Yong Teck Lee, Daniel John Jambun, Awang Ahmad Shah... should lead, because they are ready to defend Sabah's rights...

It is time to replace kow-towing with outsmarting. This Party must use intelligence, strategics, the laws and constitution, and PR to achieve goals for Sabah...
